A fun fact is the shark's skin is so rough that if contact is made, it might injure it's prey. If you run your hand form head to tail it will feel smooth, but the other way will will feel rough.

A tiger shark has 5-7 gill slits along side it's head. Water must be flowing across the gills for them to breathe, because they do not have gill covers.
